About BabyBite

BabyBite answers one question fast: can my baby eat this? Every food gets an age-by-age verdict — ✅ yes, ⚠️ with care, 🚫 no — across three bands: 6–8 months, 9–11 months, and 12 months and up. Because the honest answer to most food questions in the first year really is “it depends on the month and the shape.”

Beside each verdict you’ll find the reason, safe-prep steps, choking and allergen flags, warning signs, and when to call for help. For pets instead of babies, see our sister sites SafeOrToxic, PetPoison and PlantOrToxic.

How our content is made

Our verdicts follow the public guidance of established pediatric and health authorities — including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the CDC and the NHS — cross-checked against widely accepted feeding practice. In October 2026 all 12 food entries were drafted and audited against these references. Content is drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed and edited by the site team before publishing. We do not accept payment from product brands for verdicts.

What this site is not

BabyBite is an educational reference, not a medical service. We cannot examine your baby, we don’t know your child’s history, and no page here is individual medical advice. We never provide medical doses or treatment protocols. For anything urgent — choking with no cough or cry, a suspected severe allergic reaction, or poisoning — call 911 (US) or Poison Control (US): 1-800-222-1222.
